What do you call this blog? "The Aristocrats!"

The Tangerine Man and I went on a nigh-unto-my-birthday date yesterday and saw The Aristocrats. Those of you who know me well know that I have a high tolerance for the potty talk and soforth, and this movie was hee-larious! Unspeakably foul, yes, but also an hour and a half of riproaring good fun. Not sure if this movie is for you? Well, I don't want to retell the Aristocrats joke, because that would surely garner me some Google hits I don't need. You'll have to do your own research. You can go to the ifilm site and watch clips like the South Park version of the joke. (Warning: You're not gonna wanna watch that at work or with kids in earshot.) If you recoil in disgust, The Aristocrats is not the movie for you. If you laugh and are intrigued, then find a theater near you that's willing to show the movie (i.e., not the AMC chain) or wait for the DVD. A filthy, graphic joke told by a mime? Priceless. You won't want to miss it.

I can't wait to see it either. I have a "date" with a heretofore Internet-only friend to see it at the end of the month in KC.

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday! My birthday is tomorrow, and I'm hoping to go see the Aristocrats (which I keep accidentally referring to as "The Aristocats" - an *entirely* different movie) as part of my natal-day celebrations. It sounds AWESOME.

Happy Birthday, and thanks for the movie recommendation! We have a sitter for Friday, if you can believe that, so maybe this will actually happen...

Wow, I had no idea so many of you liked obscenity as much as I do! You will enjoy this fine, fine movie.

And thanks for the birthday greetings!

Loved the movie. I laugh-cried at Whoopi Goldberg.

Happy Day!

happy b-day!

My wife normally likes dirty jokes, but says she doesn't want to see this movie. How can I get her to change her mind?

Kathyr, yeah, nobody but Whoopi is doing the foreskin humor these days. Good stuff.

Rob, this is definitely a movie for couples. If your wife skips it, you will return home from the cinema bursting with talk of the rusty trombone, phelching, and sanchez, not to mention how funny coprophilia, incest, and bestiality are. Now, your wife has two options: (1) She can see the movie with you and laugh with you at the mere mention of these words, or (2) She can stay home and think you're an appalling human being for mentioning these things, plus, she will not laugh for 90 minutes straight. Which one strengthens your union? Option 1.

Plus, tell your wife couples see this movie. The re-release of Star Wars? Theater packed with guys. The Aristocrats? Packed with couples and mixed groups. Many of the couples at our showing looked like they were past their 40th anniversary. A movie an old man can take his wife to for a good time? This must be a chick flick.
