Obama via satellite

Senator Barack Obama did appear on "The Daily Show" last night, but via satellite from Washington. Obama was having a good time—his broad smile threatened to split his head open. Jon Stewart cracked him up, and he cracked Jon up. The good senator is a funny man—who knew? You can either catch one of the reruns today, or read about their conversation here.

Obama was very funny. I especially liked the line (and I'm paraphrasing here) that the only person more hyped than himself was Stewart. Besides being funny, I liked that he seems to be really trying not to believe the hype.

Then there was the part where Obama said his wife loves "The Daily Show," and his 4-year-old is also a Jon Stewart fan because he hosted "Elmopalooza." (It's true. We rented "Elmopalooza" one time.)
