I stopped shaving my armpits years ago. I still shave my legs, at least in the summer, but hairy armpits are far more comfortable for me than stubbly ones.
As for men...the man in my house doesn't shave his face, because he hates shaving, so this is a non-starter. And, honestly, I've never contemplated his pits. Now I will. Thanks for that.
From a practical perspective, I do wish they would make women's deodorant that would still work if there is hair under there. I know I'm in the minority on this, but I'd even settle for a men's formula that wasn't so aggressively scented.
I don't think either should shave there, but since I'm a teacher, I still sometimes feel the pressure (what would my students think if I wore a "revealing" sleeve?). On a more practical side, though, since my eyes have taken quite a turn in the past year, I really can't see well enough to shave under my arms anymore. Still, I'll probably give it a whirl tonight.
I find the act of shaving ridiculous and unnecessary, especially for women. It's a waste of time, it's uncomfortable, and frankly, it's unnatural. I love hair on a woman's body - it's mature, sexy, feminine, and all natural!
I'm an all-purpose word geek: I write (blogs, plus a book), I edit (medical stuff), I read (mostly blogs and magazines...that stack of unread books glares at me from beneath the dust), and I play with words (crossword puzzles are a strong favorite).

What's to discuss? Definitely. No question. I'd rather see a hairy back than a hairy armpit.
I kind of enjoy having hairy pits. So I'd have to disagree. Shaving causes irritation.
My husband used to shave his, and I kind of hated it. I loved the IDEA of it, but hated the way that it looked.

Never! There's something wrong with wanting people to look like infantile, plucked chickens.
My word verification is "singe."

All I know is that if I don't mow down the pit hair that my smell will attract stray dogs.
I wish that having body hair wasn't so taboo.
BTW, my word verification is senis which rhymes with...
Nope! We're mammals, we have hair, deal with it!

Ew! Why should anyone shave his or her armpits?
I like soft hair better than stubble.
