We have a town in utah called Beaver. it has a Wendy's restaurant, and there used to be a sign on the freeway, with a big "Wendy's" logo at the top, the town's name below. Huge billboard. Wendy's Beaver. Yes.
I'm an all-purpose word geek: I write (blogs, plus a book), I edit (medical stuff), I read (mostly blogs and magazines...that stack of unread books glares at me from beneath the dust), and I play with words (crossword puzzles are a strong favorite).

What is it, a shoe store?? Ha!
Wow. That's a whole passle of punctuation issues for a three-line sign!
My favorite, though, is the space between the open single quote mark and "em."
This makes "rock 'n roll" look almost correct....
So what's the point of having a badly punctuated sign that tells people they can kill pests themselves?
'Cause if I'm gonna go through all the trouble of calling them, they'd better kill the pests for me.
We need these folks...only in Chicago?
Actually, Kathie, this business is located about midway between Ocala, Florida, and the Gulf of Mexico, i.e., Nowheresville.
I wonder how much they paid for that sign...
Nice.
