That larcenous Saint Nick
Ben's rocketing toward a fever pitch of excitement over the impending arrival of Santa Claus. Mr. Tangerine and I apparently haven't been hyping the Santa mythology, though, because this morning, Ben asked his dad: Does Santa break into a store to get the stuff he needs and then go to your house? Does he do that? We took advantage of the teaching opportunity to mention the North Pole, Santa's workshop, and the elves. You know, if the boy would just take an interest in the classic Christmas cartoons from my childhood, he'd know all this already...

LOL. I want to write a story where Santa steals stuff from stores....
Speaking of taking an interest in my childhood TV memories...
I bought J a Grinch tape the other day for him to watch in preparation for the season. He looked at it in horror.
He does not like this Grinch,
oh no he doesn't.
He wants the Jim Idiot one,
but Mom says, "Dream on."
Too funny! It makes a lot more sense than the elves and the north pole when you think about it.
Kill the boy!!
He's a thinker...so funny what the ideas kids link together in their minds. Hope the day was great.
i, too, think it's hilarious that his kid-brain shoots straight to the larcenous. it makes more sense.
(ever thought of signing him up to get a phone call from saint nick?)
Ha!! That kills me. We haven't overdone that part of our kids' education, either...oh well. It'll all be over in a few short years, and then we can get on with it.
You're right...somehow I don't see Kurt Cobain as an IT feller, but I could live with that!
