Guess whose crossword was accepted by the NYT?
I just got the good news that Will Shortz has accepted a Sunday crossword co-constructed by my friend Tony and me. It will likely be many months before the New York Times Magazine runs this crossword, but: Wahoo!
I can't vote in your poll because I don't take a paper anymore. I don't do a crossword everyday! I used to. Our local paper comes out once a week and there isn't a crossword in it. Those bastards.
Anyway, I do pretty well at crosswords but at the moment I'm really kicking butt playing Boggle/Scramble on facebook and I kick ass at Scrabble.
I'm an all-purpose word geek: I write (blogs, plus a book), I edit (medical stuff), I read (mostly blogs and magazines...that stack of unread books glares at me from beneath the dust), and I play with words (crossword puzzles are a strong favorite).

I shield my eyes. I'm so impressed!
That is so awesome! Congratulations!
Amazing! So cool. So, do you feel a sense of investment over which day of the week it runs?
I will totally do your crossword (or at the very least collaborate enthusiastically with my Old Man on it.
